Victory by Valor is an integrated strategy utilizing film, museum and speaker bureaus to deliver the historical contributions of African Americans in service — activated through military observance days and connected to local outreach programs. Here is where a partner fits.

Campaign at a glance

Victory by Valor showcases the cross-connection between sports and pop culture — civilian heroes who had a little-known second life in the military — delivered through social media and student assembly screenings captured as Did-You-Know vignettes. Hall of Fame athletes and celebrities reach influencers and catalyze the conversation about these little-known facts.

Embedded in the campaign is a panel discussion that challenges students to define a hero and find the hero within; the Heroes component provides a lesson plan and curriculum for educators; the vignettes, bundled with a mini-exhibit of military memorabilia and interviews with living legends and historians, encourage students to discuss acts of heroism in their own lives.

Film, broadcast and social

Vignettes delivered through social media and student-assembly screenings; live-streamed events; a catalogue of stories, documents and licensed documentaries with social tools baked in.
