Victory by Valor — Trailer

About this film

Kevin Clark's marquee trailer — a story "from segregation to celebration." Over archival newsreel of Joe Louis in the ring and in uniform, troops in formation, Lt. Jackie Robinson and the HOMAGE cards, the narration traces how sport and the armed forces became the arenas in which African Americans showed their bravery, courage and valor, from the post-war resurgence of baseball to President Truman's desegregation of the military. Interview segments and the Victory by Valor key art close the cut.
